I can’t attend all three (3) days of the convention. Do I have to pay for all three (3) days?
No. We have a one day pass and a two day pass. If you buy either the one or the two day pass you can come to The Family Discipleship one day seminar for FREE. Also, Thursday night shopping is considered one day.
PLEASE NOTE: Our 2009 pricing has gone back to the 2007 and 2006 prices which makes it very affordable to register the entire family (adults, teens and grandparents) for the entire convention.

The CHEO convention is designed for parents to examine and purchase curriculum and attend seminars for encouragement, inspiration, and education. Child care is not provided. Children must be supervised at all times by either a parent or another responsible adult. Since seminars and workshops are being recorded, we would like to provide quality recordings without extraneous sounds. Children may attend seminar sessions with a parent as long as they are quiet. We would suggest sitting on an aisle, near an exit, in order to leave quickly if the child becomes noisy. CHEO reserves the right to ask you to remove your child if they are creating a disturbance.

Is There a Teen Track?
No, we don’t offer a separate Teen Track as a part of the convention however every year there are lots of sessions that would be good for teens to attend along with their parents. We have always felt that teens are just “Adults in the Making” and need to hear some of the same sessions that you do so that they start building their own philosophy of family discipleship, homeschooling, and godly living. What better way for a family to learn together many of the things that the Lord has for you? Bring them along!

Can Grandparents Attend at No Charge?
YES! Any grandparent of a homeschooled student may be our GUEST! The grandparent must be registered on the family’s registration. We are glad to have as many grandparents come as possible to see just what this homeschooling is all about!

Do you offer any scholarships in order to attend the convention at no charge?
Yes, we have scholarships for those in financial need. We don’t require anyone to work to receive a scholarship because we know not everyone can help out. But if you feel like you’d like to volunteer please contact the Volunteer Coordinator (back@cheohome.org) for a volunteer form to choose your job according to your time schedule. If you are in financial need, or someone you know is in need, please contact the Scholarship Committee at 937-884-5071.
PLEASE NOTE: We provide a free convention pass to all widows and widowers just for the asking. If you are in that category or know someone who is, please contact our office at cheo@cheohome.org or call 740-522-2460.
